Storyline

Drama centering on a romance and relationship of a married woman and a member of the anti-fascist resistance with the besieged Budapest as a wartime backdrop of the story. Kata, a young housewife is suddenly and forcibly removed from her ordinary life and finds herself separated from her husband and young daughter.

While her husband goes to hiding from the authorities, and her daughter on the countryside, the resistance arranges Kata to move to the outskirts of the city under a false identity, where he has to share a room with Janos, her fake husband (who is also a member of the resistance). As both of them are haunted with each their own memories, struggles with hopes and disillusionment, under the pressure of the wartime hardships an unusual bond develops between them where the border between reality and their makeshift roles starts to fade away.
