Storyline
While Josh Northrup stayed in their native Alaskan town and runs their late father's traditional family restaurant, twin brother Julian left to start a posh restaurant in the big city with his gay husband Henri Vermeiren, which wins acclaim but isn't lucrative.
Julian qualified for the annual Escoffier, a world class chefs contest, now organized on Malta in one of tycoon Preston Wescott's luxury hotels, by his daughter Meg, who hopes to kick-start her dream to star a prestigious events company. Julian convinced Josh to come along as guest, but strains his back, so Julian offers to impersonate him to register in time, but a modern wrist device forces him to keep up the charade, assisted by banned former winner Chester Peele. Fake Julian assists and mutually falls in love with Meg, actually due to his real personality, but disclosure could ruin all, and ruthless French contestant Etienne Leduc, who also reaches the final, finds out.
