First Cow (2019)

A chance encounter in the cold, damp forests of 1820 Oregon will pave the way for an unexpected friendship and an equally remarkable alliance, as reserved, almost taciturn Cookie, a lonesome adventurer and talented cook, joins forces with the pursued Chinese immigrant, King-Lu. Intent on striking it rich, the entrepreneurial duo concocts an audacious plan to take the rugged Northwest by storm; however, the road to success is fraught with failure.
